          Some of the most popular destinations today are in the Caribbean. Major cruise lines divide

Eastern and Western Caribbean ports of call. Souther Caribbean itineraries require an add on flight and possibly are a pre or post layover. Southern Caribbean cruises depart from either Miami or Sanjuan

          The 3 Night and 4 Night Cruises – Most of the major cruise lines like Carnival, NCL and RCL specialize in the short-term or “get-a-way” cruises.

 

 

Ports of Departure

 

Port Canaveral – Just one Hour east of Orlando via the Beeline Expressway (toll road). (If you drive, plan to pay between $8 per day for secure port parking. (If you purchase your own air to Orlando, Transfers between the airport and the cruise ship run from $40 - $60.)

          Air Travel Transfers – The cruise lines provide transfers at reasonable prices and usually provide passengers first embarkation departures to meet the varying flights schedules. Passengers may also elect to secure private shuttle transfers from Orlando International Airport. Costs will wary depending upon the type of transfers or rental cars.

 

Port Of Miami – Just 20 minutes from Miami International Airport. (If you plan to drive plan to pay between $12 - $15 a day for secure port parking). (If you purchase your own air to Miami or Fort Lauderdale, Transfers between the airport and cruise ship run from $20 - $30.) If flying into Ft. Lauderdale the cruise lines usually provide passengers with first embarkation departures to meet the varying flight schedules.

 

Port Everglades, Ft. Lauderdale – Like the Port of Miami, Port Everglades is just 20 minutes away from Ft. Lauderdale International Airport. The port is the deepest seaport on the East Coast of the United States and is a winter home to many of the major cruise lines which sail the Mediterranean.

 

Both Port Everglades and Miami offer cruisers some of the best destinations to explore ole world cities like San Juan, St Thomas, St John, Tortola, St Maarten, and other islands based on your choice of cruise lines.

 

Port Of Jacksonville, FL – Discover the newest embarkation city of Jacksonville where you’ll cruise the St. John’s River out to the Atlantic. The St. Johns River is one of the few rivers in the world that flows north. Mayport Naval Complex along with the ship yards are a unique sight. Both 4 and 5 Day cruises to the Bahamas make this a great city port.

 

Port Of Mobile, AL – This relatively new departure city and terminal offers the warmth and charm of the South. This is a port city which you might consider spending an extra day or two to sightsee. Port of Tampa, FL – Sail from Florida’s West Coast form one of the oldest cities to be explored by De Soto.

                   The city once claimed the cigar capital of the new world. You can still see the remains of the “Hava-Tampa”

                   factory in Y’bor City along with the dining experience of renowned Columbia Restaurant. Tampa still retains
